Admissions

Applications for Preschool, Grade R, and Grade 1, 2027 are open

Joining Trinity

Seven steps, no mystery. This page sets out how the process works, what it costs, what we will ask you for and what we will tell you in return

Where there is space for 2027

We would rather tell you now than let you apply into a year group that is already full. Applications for 2027 close at the end of December.

Open for 2027

Preschool

A whole group of our preschoolers will move into Grade R next year. This has opened up space in our preschool – a place where children thrive under the loving care of our dedicated teachers.

Open for 2027

Grade R

Applications are still open, but there are only one or two places left.

Open for 2027

Grade 1

Applications are open. Grade R children are considered for progression into Grammar School, subject to the school's approval.

How to apply

The process is deliberately personal. A small school cannot take a family on paper alone — and you should not choose one that way either.

  1. Get in touch

Send us the form on this page, phone our administrator, or email admissions. Tell us your child’s age and the year you are thinking about, and we will tell you if there is space. We reply within 3 working days.

    Same week
  2. Come and see the school

A visit during an ordinary school day tells you more than any brochure. You will meet a member of the leadership, walk through classrooms and see a lesson in progress.

    About an hour
  3. Submit an application

Complete the application form and send it with the supporting documents listed below.

  4. Meet as a family

The principal meets with the parents, and the child may join for part of it. This is a conversation about whether the school and the family are a good fit for each other.

  5. A morning in class

Children are invited to visit Trinity for a day or two. They spend time in the class they would join, meeting classmates and teachers. The teachers can see how they settle and where they are academically. For older children this includes a written assessment.

  6. Offer and acceptance

If we can offer a place, you receive it in writing with the fee schedule and the acceptance deadline. A signed acceptance and the deposit hold the place.

  7. Before the first day

Uniform, stationery, and various orientation documents are sent by our admissions officer. Where possible, we arrange an orientation meeting with the class teacher, so that the first morning is not the first time your child sees the classroom.

What we will ask you for

  • A certified copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • Certified copies of both parents’ identity documents or passports
  • The most recent school report, if the child is already at school
  • A transfer card from the previous school
  • Immunisation record
  • Any educational, psychological or therapy reports
  • Proof of residence
  • A completed application form
  • A reference from your pastor
  • Where relevant, we may request a school readiness report or may require your child to write an entrance assessment

Fees

Fees belong on a website, not behind an enquiry form. Families deserve to know early whether a school is within reach.

Annual tuition

Set per phase — Preschool, Grammar School and High School are priced differently.

What is included

Tuition, textbooks and exercise books, and the ordinary activities of the school day are covered by the monthly tuition fees and the annual, once-off Curriculum Development Fee.

Uniform, outings, and extra-murals are billed separately. We try to avoid hidden costs, and endeavour to communicate timeously, so that there are no surprises.

How it is paid

Tuition Fees can be paid annually, termly, or monthly. Paying the registration fee secures the place when you accept an offer.

Sibling discount

There is a 15% discount on tuition fees for second and subsequent children in the same family.

Why a school with small classes costs what it does

Small classes are the single most expensive thing a school can offer, and the thing parents tell us matters most. Trinity is a not-for-profit company: fees pay teacher and support staff salaries, buy books and educational materials, and ensure the smooth running of the school; they are not for a return to shareholders.

If the fees are the only thing standing between your family and Trinity, speak to us before you decide against applying.

Ask us about financial scholarships – we have a limited number available.

Book a school visit

Come visit on an ordinary school day. You will see more on a Tuesday morning than at any open day, and you can ask the teachers whatever this website has not answered.

We reply within 3 working days. Your details are not shared with anyone.

Parent questions

The questions families actually ask us during an application — including the awkward ones.

Is Trinity the right fit for your family?

Start with a conversation, not a form.

If you are considering options for schooling for 2027, the most helpful thing you can do is come visit. Everything else follows from that.

Think clearly. Live faithfully. Lead courageously.
